Based on nearly 30 years experience of improving people; improving processes and improving profits, this site has been written by Tom McAtee to help line managers (who I see as Clients) and fellow HR professionals improve their confidence and competence in managing the business, managing people and managing change.

The ideas, thoughts, practices that I have captured here are an amalgam of my work as a HR/OD practitioner. Not only have I had the privilege of working around the world with companies at the leading-edge of HR thinking ... companies like Shell, BOC, ICI, but, also learning from some fabulous people whose thinking I'm sure is also reflected here.

What you will find on the site is my current thinking. My intellectual curiosity and keenness to learn means that the content will change as I continue to learn and think about HR ...
